A kitchen is the hardest-working room in any Dubai home, and the most expensive to get wrong.
Get the layout, the storage and the hidden services right, and it serves you quietly for years. Get them wrong, and you live with the mistake every single day: the drawer that fouls the oven door, the worktop that stains, the socket that is not where the kettle needs to be.
Most kitchen renovations in Dubai are really two projects at once, the part you see and the part you do not. A good result depends on both being planned together, by people who actually build kitchens rather than just draw them.
Kitchen Renovation Services
Owners come to us for a kitchen refresh that keeps the existing layout, a full kitchen renovation that strips out and rebuilds, or a kitchen remodel with layout change that opens the kitchen to the living space.
Design and space planning
Workflow, storage and room use are mapped before any units are ordered.
Custom and modular cabinetry
Built to your exact room and storage needs, with the right balance of speed and budget.
Countertops and splashbacks
Quartz, granite, sintered stone and porcelain options fitted to the way you cook.
Lighting and MEP
Electrical loads, appliance wiring, plumbing and extraction are all planned as one system.
Flooring and finishes
Large-format porcelain, paint, tiling and hardware that suit Dubai heat and humidity.
Appliance integration

Kitchen Design & Layout Options
Good kitchen design is decided by how you cook and move, not by a showroom photo. The starting point is the work triangle: the path between the sink, the hob and the fridge.
Galley
Best for narrow apartment kitchens, with efficient workflow and limited seating.
L-shaped
Flexible and efficient for small to mid villas and open-plan corners.
U-shaped
Maximum storage and worktop for larger enclosed kitchens.
Island
Ideal for open-plan villa kitchens with extra prep, seating and storage.
Peninsula
Good for open-plan rooms where an island will not fit.
Dubai workflow
Layout, storage and appliance positions are designed around the way your home actually runs.
Kitchen Cabinets, Countertops and Storage
The carcass matters more than the door. In Dubai's humidity, moisture-resistant board with quality hinges and soft-close runners outlasts a cheap unit with a nice front.
Cabinets
Moisture-resistant MDF, plywood or laminate systems depending on the budget and finish.
Countertops
Quartz, granite, sintered stone and marble options compared honestly for heat, stain and care.
Storage
Deep drawers, pull-out larders, corner solutions and appliance storage are planned up front.
Hardware
Soft-close hinges, runners and handles chosen for long-term alignment and daily use.
Flooring, Lighting, Plumbing and Electrical
Kitchens need a floor that shrugs off water, heat and heavy traffic. Large-format porcelain is the workhorse, and where the kitchen flows into a timber-floored space, we manage the transition and levels so it reads as one room.
We plan three lighting layers, route plumbing correctly for sinks and dishwashers, and size electrical circuits for induction hobs, ovens, fridges and the rest of the modern load. Ventilation is ducted to the outside wherever possible so heat, steam and cooking smells do not stay trapped in the room.
Materials and Finishes
Heat, humidity and hard water are hard on the wrong specification, and the cheapest option is frequently the most expensive over its life. We put specific materials and, where relevant, brands into your quote, and we will not quietly downgrade a specification to win on price.
Splashbacks, flooring, tapware, handles, hinges and runners all matter. Full-height stone or large porcelain behind the hob means fewer grout lines to scrub, and hard-water-rated tapware saves you from replacement later.
Kitchen Renovation Process
- Consultation and measure. We visit, measure the space and understand how you cook and what is not working.
- Design and fixed quote. You receive a layout, elevations, material selections and an itemised written quote.
- Approvals where needed. Any NOC or permit is prepared in parallel with design so it does not hold up the start.
- Strip-out and first fix. The old kitchen is removed and plumbing, electrical and extraction are adjusted to the new plan.
- Cabinetry and stone. Cabinets are fitted and levelled, then the countertop is templated and installed.
- Finishes and appliances. Splashback, flooring, lighting, painting and appliance integration are completed.
- Snagging and handover. We check everything against a snag list and walk you through the kitchen before sign-off.
Kitchen Renovation Cost Factors
A kitchen renovation in Dubai typically costs between AED 20,000 and AED 80,000, with luxury and custom kitchens running to AED 120,000 or more. A light refresh can start lower; a large open-plan villa kitchen with premium stone and appliances sits at the top.
| Scope | Indicative range | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Refresh / makeover | AED 7,500 - 20,000 | New doors or units, worktop, splashback, sink and taps with the same layout. |
| Standard renovation | AED 20,000 - 45,000 | Full new cabinetry, quartz worktop, tiling, plumbing and electrical updates, lighting. |
| Premium renovation | AED 45,000 - 80,000 | Custom cabinetry, premium stone, appliance integration and some layout change. |
| Luxury / custom | AED 80,000 - 120,000+ | Bespoke joinery, island, high-end stone and appliances, full layout rework. |
The biggest price drivers are cabinetry, countertop material, how much moves and the appliances. Hidden issues found on strip-out can add scope in older kitchens.
Expected Renovation Timeline
A standard kitchen renovation in Dubai takes about 3 to 6 weeks on site once the design is signed off and materials are ordered. A simple refresh can be quicker; a custom kitchen with bespoke joinery, a layout change or premium stone can run to eight weeks or more.
Much of the timeline is fabrication lead time for cabinetry and stone, which we order before strip-out to avoid delays. You get a dated schedule with your quote and regular updates against it.
Dubai-Specific Considerations
The climate shapes the spec
Moisture-resistant cabinet carcasses, hard-water-rated tapware, heat-tolerant worktops and proper extraction are the baseline.
Approvals may apply
Moving plumbing, altering gas, changing walls or affecting shared services often requires an NOC or permit.
Villa versus apartment
Villa kitchens are usually larger and more likely to involve gas and structural change; apartment kitchens are about compact efficiency.
Living through it
Most owners stay put. We seal off the work area, protect floors and access, and keep to community working hours.

Kitchen Renovation FAQs
How much does a kitchen renovation cost in Dubai?
Most kitchen renovations cost between AED 20,000 and AED 80,000, with luxury and custom kitchens running to AED 120,000 or more.
How long does a kitchen renovation take?
A standard kitchen usually takes about 3 to 6 weeks on site once the design is signed off and materials are ordered.
Do I need a permit to renovate my kitchen in Dubai?
A like-for-like refresh usually does not, but moving plumbing, altering gas, changing walls or affecting shared services often needs an NOC or permit.
Custom or modular kitchen - which is better?
Custom cabinetry is built to your exact dimensions and gives the most storage and cleanest fit. Modular cabinetry is faster and more economical where standard sizes suit the room.
Which countertop is best for a Dubai kitchen?
Quartz is the practical default. Granite, sintered stone and porcelain are also strong options depending on heat, care and budget.
Can you open my kitchen to the living area?
Often yes, usually with an island or peninsula. If a wall is load-bearing it needs a structural approach and the right approvals.
Will I be able to use my home during the renovation?
Most owners stay put. We seal off the work area, protect floors and access, and keep to community working hours.
How do I choose a reliable kitchen contractor?
Check for licensing, a detailed written quote, clear scope, separate appliance pricing and a single point of contact.
